All the way from Norway to Mlangali Health Center in Dedza. The Norwegian Deputy Minister for International Development, Hon. Bjorg Sandkjaer visited our outreach site on Tuesday 21 March 2023.

The Norwegian government is one of the biggest donors enabling us to serve thousands of women and girls through outreach in the health sector joint fund project.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister who was accompanied by the Norwegian ambassador to Malawi and other embassy officials was welcomed to Mlangali Health Center by the Dedza Director of Health and Social Services (DHSS) Dr. Mbingwani and Mlangali Facility In charge Ms. Tamandani Nkhoma.

The Deputy Minister and her delegation were briefed on how outreach services are provided at the facility by BLM Outreach Team Lead for Dedza Mr. Simkonda.

The Deputy Minister thanked BLM team for unwavering commitment to the provision of reproductive health care in hard-to-reach areas.

“The Norwegian government remains committed to provision of sexual and reproductive health care in Malawi and across the globe. We appreciate the efforts of Banja La Mtsogolo in taking these services to people who would not otherwise have access” said Sandkjaer.

Taking his turn, BLM Country Director Tenaw Baoke thanked the Norwegian government for the financial support enabling BLM to provide services.
