Banja La Mtsogolo organised several events and activities to commemorate the choice week. On World Contraception Day, there was a min event for support office staff outside the office premises in Lilongwe. During the commemoration event, Belita Chisi- a nurse working in the Contact Center ran a thinking about my values VCAT exercise for staff. Then she proceeded to unpack different methods of family planning as a refresher for staff.
For the International Safe Abortion Day, Banja La Mtsogolo organised a radio panel discussion on magnitude and impact of unsafe abortions in Malawi together with Religious Leaders Network for Choice and Young Women Consortium- partners in abortion law reform advocacy.
BLM also made use of Modern Contraception Column- a weekly column that comes out in Malawi News run by Simeon Thodi to raise awareness on important issues on access to contraception and safe abortion.
